Sunnah: Hadith Collection — Privacy Policy

Sunnah: Hadith Collection provides Arabic and English hadith reading and optional study services. This policy explains how the app and its publisher, identified on your store listing, handle your information. Use our Support form for privacy questions, access requests or deletion requests.

Your reading stays on your device

The bundled library, ordinary searches, reading position, bookmarks, folders, personal notes, highlights, study schedule, preferences and reading progress are stored on your device. We do not upload your notebook for cloud synchronization. Manual export and sharing send only the content you choose to the destination you select. Keep exported files somewhere you trust.

On-device listening uses your device's available voices. The app does not record your microphone. Local daily reminders are scheduled on your device after you turn them on and grant permission.

Optional AI study tools

AI is separate from free reading. Before using it, you choose whether to send a question or topic and relevant source passages to our service. Avoid entering confidential information or information about another person. Questions about religion can reveal sensitive personal views.

Firebase Authentication creates a guest identity for this service; Firebase App Check and an installation signing key help protect access. Our backend receives the guest and installation identifiers, platform, request timing and security proofs. We use purchase verification and usage records to authorize optional extras, prevent abuse and manage costs.

AI requests go through OpenRouter to the configured Microsoft Azure or Google Vertex AI provider. The service requests routes that prohibit training on submitted content and require zero data retention at the model provider. If a permitted route is unavailable, the request fails rather than using an unrestricted route. AI answers may be inaccurate; check the linked original sources.

Our backend stores generated results and reports you submit about those results for up to 90 days. It does not keep a separate raw-question history. Generated text can reflect what you asked. You can view recent results, export your cloud results and reports, withdraw AI consent, or delete AI data from Settings. Withdrawing consent prevents new AI requests; it does not itself delete existing records.

Deletion removes your cloud results, reports and user access grants and requests deletion of the Firebase guest identity. A failed step remains available to retry. Limited hashed retirement and installation verification records remain for up to 30 days to prevent captured requests from recreating deleted access. Usage and anti-abuse records are stripped of the user and installation association during deletion; other retention jobs remove old network buckets after one day and clear old usage records after 35 days, subject to their related result record. Store purchase verification records can remain to prevent duplicate access and honor valid purchases.

Purchases

Apple or Google processes payments. We receive product, transaction or purchase-reference information and subscription status needed to deliver and restore purchased extras. We do not receive your full card details. Deleting AI data, uninstalling the app or withdrawing consent does not cancel a store subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your store account; Settings provides that route.

Optional analytics and crash reports

Analytics and crash reports have separate switches in Settings and are off until you enable them. Firebase Analytics receives general product events, such as opening a reading screen or completing a save, along with SDK installation and device information. Our custom events exclude search terms, notes, passage text and AI questions.

Firebase Crashlytics receives diagnostic information such as crash traces, app and device details, and installation identifiers when crash reporting is enabled. App-reported Flutter errors omit exception messages. Turning these choices off stops future optional collection and asks the SDK to reset local analytics data or remove unsent crash reports. Publisher updates and online services

The app fetches publisher links through Firebase Remote Config and public reading cards through our backend. These services process normal connection information and app or installation metadata to deliver their content. Publisher notifications are a separate opt-in choice using Firebase Cloud Messaging and your device's notification service. You can turn them off in Settings or device permissions. They are separate from your local daily reminder.

Opening an external website or sharing to another app subjects that interaction to the destination's privacy practices. Hosting and security providers, including Cloudflare, process connection information needed to serve and protect our web pages and API.

Support and your choices

The Support form accepts your name, reply address, subject and message. We use these details to handle your request. Do not send passwords, payment details or unnecessary sensitive information. You can use the same form to request access or deletion without reinstalling the app; identify Sunnah and describe the information involved. We may need enough information to verify that a request concerns your data.

You can use free offline reading without enabling AI, analytics, crash reports or publisher notifications. Local notebook files remain under your control; deleting cloud AI data does not delete your local notebook. Service providers can process information outside your country under their applicable privacy and processing terms. We do not sell your personal information or use app data for cross-company advertising tracking.
